Four Arrested for Burglary, Growing Pot in San Jose

Police found items stolen from Milpitas homes.

Milpitas Police arrested four San Jose men for burglary and stumbled upon an illegal indoor marijuana grow on Wednesday.David Morales, 28; Johnny Munoz III, 28; Omar Tucker, 25; and Jason Singh, 25; were arrested after officers visited a San Jose home about 10 a.m. with an arrest warrant for charges stemming from a 2011 Milpitas home burglary, according to police reports.Morales, Munoz and Tucker were inside the home on the 2600 block of McKee Road when officers arrived, according to reports. Morales fled and officers chased him into the backyard of another home. Meanwhile, officers found the McKee Road home had been converted to an illegal indoor marijuana grow. They found more than 500 marijuana plants in different stages of growth, several firearms and a large amount of cash, according to reports. Police also found property stolen during two different burglaries in Milpitas.Singh arrived at the home as officers finished the search, according to reports.All four were booked into Santa Clara County Jail for illegal marijuana cultivation and possession of marijuana for sales. Tucker was listed as a violent criminal and booked for an outstanding arrest warrant in Colorado for weapons violations.
