Three Arrested for Stealing From Milpitas Cars

IPods, phones, electronics were popular targets.

Milpitas Police arrested three men Monday for stealing iPods, cell phones and other electronics on the 100 block of Greentree Way.

Charges against Alex Drobot, 18, Marlon Nathaniel, 21, and a 16-year old male, included auto burglary, posession of stolen property, conspiracy and prowling, among other crimes, according to police reports. All three are from Fremont.

Police caught the threesome after resonding to a call of three people with flashlights looking into vehicles around Greentree Way and Fallen Leaf Drive. Officers arrived and found the three men walking on driveways in the neighborhood. They matched the caller's description, according to reports.

Officers investigated and found the three men had flashlights as well as numerous cell phones, an iPod and other items presumed stolen from nearby cars and vehicles, according to reports. Β 

Officers found seven vehicles burglarized and received calls of at least three more, according to reports. Several victims identified items found in posession of the suspects.

Drobot and Nathaniel were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on seven counts of auto burglary, posession of stolen property, conspiracy, prowling and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The 16-year old, who is not being named because he is under age, was booked into Juvenile Hall for seven counts of auto burglary, posession of stolen property, conspiracy and prowling.
