National Day of Prayer is an opportunity for faith based organizations to pray as one community. Christian or non-Christian organizations are invited to come out to the Milpitas Sports Center stadium. About 500 people are expected to attend.
Senior pastors in the community will be assigned to pray on specific topics, such as the Japanese earthquake survivors, military and veterans, government.
A basket will be passed and donations will go to Milpitas Food Pantry and for Japanese earthquake relief.
