Free Admission to South Bay Museums This Weekend

Bank of America and Merrill Lynch customers can enjoy the San Jose Museum of Art and The Tech Museum of Innovation at no cost as part of a unique program.

Some of Silicon Valley's most popular museums will be free to Bank of America and Merril Lynch customers this weekend.

As part of the bank's "Museums on Us" program, anyone with a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card and a photo ID will receive free admission to two museums Saturday and Sunday, according to the bank.

"The program brings new audiences and increased attention to participating organizations, which range from some of the nation’s most celebrated museums to regional gems and include art, science and history museums, as well as other cultural institutions," a release by the bank states.

The museums are the San Jose Museum of Art and The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose.

The program will also be in effect during the first full weekend -- Saturday and Sunday -- of each month in 2013. Cardholders only; guests are not eligible for free admission. Fundraising events, special exhibits and ticketed shows are not included.
