Sounds Like Halloween May Be Spared the Wet Weather

Daytime trick-or-treaters will be spared the rain, but the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Wednesday night.

Although there will be patches of fog throughout the Orchard City before 11:00 a.m. on Halloween Day, things don't look like they will be getting wet until most ghouls and goblins are already tucked in bed.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Wednesday night, mainly after 11:00 p.m. The wet storm system and associated cold front will move through the area the night of Oct. 31 through the next morning.

During the day, the weather will be mostly cloudy with a high near 65 and a light wind, about 1 to 11 mph in the afternoon.

There's an 80 percent chance of rain, mainly after 11:00 p.m., the weather service said on its website. The low will be around 53 degrees with winds about 7 to 11 mph. About an inch and a half of rain is expected in the North Bay.

Ponding along roadways is possible, along with longer than normal drive times. Please drive safe.

Deana, I understand where you're coming from (with a little something named Sandy causing hazardous weather as we speak) but this is the language the National Weather Service used. Thanks for commenting.
