Milpitas Cool Cities Team Meeting

The Milpitas Cool Cities Team (MCCT) works on various environmental issues in Milpitas. We do what we can for the interest of the members, but our main focus is reducing the impact of Milpitas on global climate change. The team has been active for more than one year. Our achievements are: commenting in the Milpitas about the Wal-Mart expansion, congratulating the city for PV installation and being active in our community.
Currently, we are working on: encouraging the city council to ban single-use plastic bags and styrofoam containers, watching local development if they are or not climate-friendly, and attending the Milpitas Climate Action Plan meetings.  
The team meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Our next meeting is December 14,  2011 at the Rob Means' House
