Milpitas High Grad Hired as SF Radio DJ
Comedian Sandy Stec is finally leaving Milpitas.
Milpitas High School graduate Sandy Stec will soon be on the air with the morning show on STAR 101.3 FM, KIOI radio station in San Francisco, according to All Access Music Group.
The local comedian, a longtime DJ at Mix 106.5 FM in San Jose, debuted a stand-up routine last year called "Leaving Milpitas." The show was losely based on her experiences moving back in with her parents in Milpitas after suffering a bad relationship breakup and sinking into debt, according to a last year.
Stec posted this today on Twitter: "Confession: the first thought I had about getting a new job was, 'Omg, I can finally get out of Milpitas?!'"
