Photo Challenge: Where in Milpitas?

Test your knowledge of Milpitas by guessing where this decorative block is located.

This carved image of a bird resting on a tree branch is one of several similar decorative blocks that adorn a large commercial complex in a busy area of Milpitas.

In addition to the bird, other decorative blocks on the building celebrate nature with images of leaves and branches. The decorative blocks measure approximately 12-by-12-inches each and can be seen by visitors at all major entryways into the building.

Do you recognize this decorative block? Can you tell us what building it is a part of and where it is located? Post your guess in the comments area below.

If you’re the first person with the complete correct answer, you may win a $10 gift card to a local business. And, more importantly, you can claim bragging rights that you’re this week’s expert in Milpitas trivia.

Game on!

Congratulations to Where in Milpitas? Mystery Photo challenge winner . Howeler was the first to correctly guess that the well-worn structured pictured was part of the chimney at the historic José Higuera Adobe House at Higuera Adobe Park on Wessex Place off North Park Victoria Drive.

Don't miss a thing in Milpitas!

Is this part of the City Hall building facing Calaveras Boulevard?

Hi Damian, That's a very good question, lol. Rob Klindt, who took the photo, will answer your question as soon as he can. Sorry I'm not able to. I'm still familiarizing myself with Milpitas.

I wonder if this might be part of the Embassy Suites Hotel near Highway 680?

This looks like it's at St. John Catholic Cemetery on Piedmont Road.

I think it might be part of the outside wall of the U.S. Post Office on South Abel Street.

Lots of good guesses. One more clue: the decorative blocks can be seen in a popular shopping center at the crossroads of two major boulevards. ;)
