Photo Challenge: Where in Milpitas?

Test your knowledge of Milpitas by guessing where this custom hot rod painting is located and why it's there.

Milpitas has a long history with cars. Most notably the city was home to a Ford Auto Assembly Plant which produced thousands of cars and trucks from 1955 to 1993. Today, two major new car dealerships have set up shop to keep motorists rolling in Milpitas and throughout the South Bay.

But beyond that, many residents have had a longtime love affair with their cars and celebrate car culture with custom cars, hot rods, imports, and classics all represented on the city’s streets.

So, it stands to reason that someone in Milpitas has immortalized the car culture in a very public way. An example is this hand-painted hotrod illustration that appears as part of a large mural that can be seen from one of the city’s busiest thoroughfares.
