Update: Milpitas Photo Challenge Winner Revealed

Readers tested their knowing of Milpitas by guessing what the subject in this photo is and where it is located.

Updated Feb. 16: Congratulations to Patch reader , this week's winner in the "Where in Milpitas?" photo challenge!

This imposing structure is a clock tower at Parc Metro near Comet and Metropolitan drives. It’s in the Parc Metropolitan neighborhood just north of The Great Mall of The Bay Area.

Thanks to all who played and check back next week for another photo challenge.

Viewed looking up, this imposing structure looks like it could be part of a fortress or a European castle. Its stone façade, protruding wood beams and horizontal plank create a feeling of aristocracy and urbanity.

But fortresses and castles are best left to travelers and historians. You won’t find them in Milpitas.

However, this structure is an architectural centerpiece in a common area of one of the newest and most urban neighborhoods in Milpitas. It’s also just a stone’s throw from major shopping and dining.
