McAfee’s Mc-A-Feat: A Massive Car Wash for our Animals!

I know most people give silver on a 25th anniversary, but McAfee gave their employees around the world something much more meaningful — a day to volunteer! And right here in Silicon Valley, McAfee employees held a massive car wash for Humane Society Silicon Valley’s cats, dogs, and rabbits.  They washed over 150 cars and raised over $1,700!  This was no simple car wash: there was a line of cars snaking around the parking lot, and they had an industrial truck in place to suck up the soapy water and dispose of it appropriately so it didn’t flow into the bay.

McAfee employees put in a lot of effort on a hot day, and their fundraising paid off. $1,700 equates to our being able to save nearly 5 more four-legged lives…at the same time changing the lives of those five adoptive individuals or families for the better as well.  Clearly McAfee is a company full of animal lovers, and I see this as the beginning of a beautiful relationship!
