Food Truck Cavalry Returns To Milpitas

Eight gourmet food trucks will gather in the Big Lots parking lot from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Eight gourmet food trucks will set up shop at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the parking area outside the Big Lots store in the Serra Shopping Center, 200 Serra Way.

They will be serving up a wide selection hot and cold food entrees, snacks, beverages, and desserts for alfresco diners until 9 p.m.

Below is a list of this week's food trucks:

Bao and Bowl -- Find healthy Cantonese food here, such as steamed pork bao buns, shrimp gao in rice paper and sticky rice. 

Blast Off Truck -- This futuristic looking truck brings in prime American comfort food such as a blueberry compote and triple creme brie grilled cheese.

Hongry Kong -- True to its name, this truck serves up a variety of hearty foods and decadent sweets. There is everything from chocolate mousse tart to chicken grilled in tangy tomato sause. 

Rice Rockit -- A variety of tasty meals sit atop a bowl of rice. Particularly unique are the Longanisa Sliders, a sausage boiled in San Miguel beer that comes with a fried egg, and grilled red onion garlic aioli. 

Spice it up Cafe --This unique Japanese crepe truck offers sweet specialties such as the Tokyo pop ($5), a combination of sweet red bean paste, green tea ice cream and mochi. 

Tastee Bytes -- The Deep South comes to the South Bay with specialties such as the Rajun Cajun Kaun Dog and Tastee Wings. 

Tacos de los Altos -- This food truck may be small but it boasts a mighty large Super Burrito, filled with all the basics, and your choice of meat, including BBQ Pork and Chile Verde Pork.

We Sushi -- Find everything from traditional California rolls to the “WE Sushi” burrito at this Japanese food truck.
