UPDATED: Food Truck Fest Canceled

The weekly Milpitas Street Eats occurs Wednesdays 5 to 9 p.m. in the Big Lots parking lots.

Updated Wednesday 1:50 p.m.: The Food Truck Mafia, which organizes the weekly Milpitas Street Eats, announced the event canceled for this Wednesday. Please return Nov. 28 to find the following trucks, and more.

A day shy of Thanksgiving, Milpitas Street Eats is holding its own feast. The weekly food truck event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Big Lots in the Serra Shopping Center, 200 Serra Way.

Instead of the usual eight trucks, there are four scheduled, plus a possible dessert truck, according to CJ Ericson from the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event.

The line-up is below:

Biggshrimp'n This truck demonstrates the many ways to deck out, dip and devour shrimp.

Brothers Gow Chow -- Sample the tastiest Greek-influenced specialties, from “Feta Fries” to “Loukamathes”, fritters topped with chocolate or honey walnut syrup.

Me So Hungry -- If you’re not hungry before stopping here, you likely will be after reading mouth-watering descriptions for the many burgers such as the Cali: Angus beef, smoked apple-wood bacon, balsamic sauteed onions, and gorgonzola cheese sauce.

Road Dogs -- Find an assortment of hot dogs, from the Chili Dog to the “Bra Bra Dog”.
