Black Friday is right around the corner, and the Great Mall in Milpitas is bracing itself for it.
The notorious day-after-Thanksgiving shopping spree day actually begins at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 22. The mall will then stay open a full 24 hours until 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23.
Over 200 stores at the mall will be offering special sales throughout the following weekend, as well as extended hours. They include Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Coach Factory Store, Forever 21, Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet, Banana Republic Factory Store, BCBG MAXAZRIA, Hollister Outlet, G by GUESS and Nike Factory Store.
“Holiday shoppers will want to make Great Mall their one stop holiday shopping destination as we ensure that they enjoy their time here every step of the way and cash in on quality merchandise up to 70 percent off everyday prices,” said Penny Barre, director of marketing and business development at Great Mall, in a press release.
The mall will also host overflow parking. Visitors can use the parking garage near Entry #4, which offers more than 1,110 additional parking spaces.
On Black Friday itself, mall-goers will have the chance to meet Sam and Lissa of 94.5 KBAY on Black Friday as the radio morning show team broadcasts live from Great Mall near Entry #2 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The team will also divvy out copies of the radio station’s popular holiday CD to the first 1,000 shoppers to visit the radio station’s booth. Visitors will also enjoy carolers, adorned in traditional Victorian garb, as they stroll throughout the mall throughout the weekend, spreading holiday cheer.
Additional staffing at Guest Services will assist shoppers with complimentary wheelchairs or the purchase of Simon American Express Giftcards. Greeters at main entrances will offer directions and store location information, and distribute daily special offers throughout the weekend.
