Kohl’s Department Stores has opened a new information technology (IT) office in Milpitas.
The team is working out of 52,000 square-feet of rented office space at 620 N. McCarthy Blvd. Thirty jobs were initially created, with plenty of room for expansion.
The Milpitas team will support Kohl’s online sales growth and strategic focus on omnichannel initiatives, including process automation and the replatforming of Kohls.com.

The company’s website generated $1.4 billion in sales last year, with three consecutive years of more than 40 percent annual growth.
“We know consumers are seeking a seamless experience and instant access to information whether shopping online, on their mobile device or in store,” said Kevin Mansell, Kohl’s chairman, president and chief executive officer.

Kohl's has a department store at the Great Mall in Milpitas.
