Now Hiring: Milpitas Tech Company Lands New Contract

The company's components will be used in consumer electronics.

 

Milpitas tech company Sigma Designs has landed new business with ZTE. The company has chosen Sigma Designs' new G.hn CG5200 family of chipsets for its H505 series of powerline network adapters.

Sigma Designs is a leading provider of system-on-chip solutions for home entertainment, connectivity and converging multimedia delivery.

According to the company, the CG5200 enables a fully self-installable home entertainment network for the distribution of Triple Play and IPTV over existing in-home powerline, coax and phone line wires.

"We are extremely delighted to have ZTE use our second generation G.hn chipset for their newest and most advanced powerline adaptor. The CG5200 was built with service providers' and consumers' real-world challenges in mind," said Gabi Hilevitz, Sigma Designs' vice president and general manager Home Connectivity business unit. "ZTE is an experienced networking equipment manufacturer with a strong Chinese and international footprint, and their selection of our G.hn CG5200 family of chipset for their next generation products is an expression of confidence in Sigma Designs' technological leadership in this area."

Sigma Designs’ world headquarters is located at 1778 McCarthy Blvd. The company currently lists three job openings on its website:
