BART Extension Breaks Ground Today

The $3.2 billion project will take BART south through Milpitas to San Jose.

Features of the Milpitas BART include:

• Location at the intersection of Montague Expressway and Capitol Avenue. 

• Ground-level concourse with below-ground boarding platforms. 

• Multi-level parking garage.

• A pedestrian bridge that connects BART to the VTA light rail system. 

• Private shuttle and “Kiss & Ride” drop-off and pick-up area. 

• Dedicated bicycle storage room.
