A car hit a PG&E pole causing an outage that impacted 2,795 customers on Monday afternoon, Pacific Gas & Electric spokeswoman Monica Tell said.
The outage started 1:52 p.m. around Calaveras Road near I-680. About 2 1/2 hours later, 341 customers were still without power, Tell said.
"PG&E crews are onsite working to restore power as quickly and safely to all customers," Tell added.
