Deadly Fight Inside Great Mall Leaves One Dead, One Jailed
The violence happened Friday morning inside Sports Authority. The store remained closed later Friday.

Milpitas police are investigating a homicide that occurred inside a Sports Authority store at the Great Mall on Friday morning, a police sergeant said.
Officers responded at 10:49 a.m. to the Sports Authority located at 1200 Great Mall Dr. on a report of a fight involving a weapon, police Sgt. Raj Maharaj said.
An officer confronted a possible suspect in the store and took him into custody without incident. The other person involved in the fight was then found dead in the store, police said.
Maharaj said both the suspect and victim are males but said that he could not release their names, ages or the weapon that was used in the fight.

The Sports Authority store is closed for business until further notice but the rest of the Great Mall remains open, police said.
