Five New Food Trucks Come to Milpitas Street Eats

Sample the new trucks this Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Food truck fanatics, you’re in luck. Five out of the seven trucks at Wednesday evening’s Milpitas Street Eats are new, according to CJ Ericson, office manager from the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce. Catch the event every Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Big Lots store in the Serra Shopping Center, 200 Serra Way.

Below is a run-down of what to expect.

Spice it up Cafe --This unique Japanese crepe truck offers sweet specialties such as the Tokyo pop ($5), a combination of sweet red bean paste, green tea ice cream and mochi.

TaKoz Mod Mex -- The San Jose-based food truck offers traditional Mexican dishes at reasonable prices. Tacos -- which come in beef, pork, chicken or veggie -- are $2.

Sugar Tree -- This mobile sweet shop offers all sorts of tasty treats, ranging from organic cotton candy to lollipops.

Tastee Bytes -- The Deep South comes to the South Bay with specialties such as the Rajun Cajun Kaun Dog and Tastee Wings. 

Brothers Gow Chow -- Sample the tastiest Greek-influenced specialties, from “Feta Fries” to “Loukamathes”, fritters topped with chocolate or honey walnut syrup. 

Road Dogs -- Find an assortment of hot dogs, from the Chili Dog to the “Bra Bra Dog”. 

Rice Rockit -- A variety of tasty meals sit atop a bowl of rice. Particularly unique are the Longanisa Sliders, a sausage boiled in San Miguel beer that comes with a fried egg, and grilled red onion garlic aioli.
