By Bay City News

Four occupants escaped a burning home in Milpitas just before 5 a.m. Saturday, according to a Milpitas Fire Department battalion chief.

Heavy smoke and flames greeted firefighters as they arrived to the scene of the two-story home located at 2347 Mattos Drive, according to Battalion Chief Robert Mihovich.

It took just 90 minutes for firefighters to bring the two-alarm blaze under control.

The cause of the fire and fire loss has not yet been determined, according to Mihovich.
