Milpitas Baker Honored for Rolls Recipe

Lori Digilio's Heavenly Honey Rolls were given a blue ribbon on JustAPinch.com

Online social networking is an ever-expanding activity. There's even a site for cooks, and one of our own, Milpitas resident Lori Digilio, is making a big splash at JustAPinch.com.

Digilio's Heavenly Honey Rolls recipe was recently given a blue ribbon by the big wigs at Just A Pinch — the cooking-themed social network. The recipe sharing site has a rating system for every submitted dish. If user ratings are high enough, the recipes are prepared in the Just a Pinch Test Kitchen, and those that pass the taste test are given an official blue ribbon on the site.

Here's Digilio's description of the rolls from the site:

"When my mother was in college she waited tables at a local restaurant that served a 'secret recipe' honey roll that everyone loved. My mom and my aunt who both worked there would watch through a window while the rolls were made, trying to guess the ingredients. Finally, after searching through some cookbooks from the early 1900s, they found the recipe. It has been a family favorite ever since. Many years later, my children are serving these rolls to friends and family that they want to impress."

According to Digilio, the recipe makes 24 rolls in about 50 minutes. To see the full recipe, click here.
