The Milpitas Rotary Club will celebrate its 60th Anniversary with a banquet on Saturday June 2, 2012 at the Spring Valley Golf Course. As part of the celebration three outstanding individuals will be honored for their service to the Milpitas Community and to Milpitas Rotary.
Milpitas Police Chief Dennis Graham has served the Milpitas Community with great distinction for over 30 years. “We are pleased to honor Chief Graham for his tremendous contributions to our city and his dedicated leadership of our outstanding police force,” stated Milpitas Rotary President Doris Roth. “He has truly helped make Milpitas a great place to live, work and raise a family.”
William “Denny” Weisgerber has served Milpitas as a Mayor, Council Member, City Commissioner and is a former Rotary District Governor and President of Milpitas Rotary Club. “Denny’s service to our city of Milpitas and to our country as a decorated war hero truly exemplifies the Rotary motto Service Above Self. We are pleased to recognize his tremendous contributions to our country, our city and our club on our 60th year Anniversary, “commented President Roth.
Germy Galvin has been a Rotarian for over 50 years, first in his home country of the Philippines and now as an active member of the Milpitas Rotary Club. Mr. Galvin serves on several club committees and is truly a mentor to new members. “Germy’s service to Rotary has been an inspiration to many of us, “remarked Rotary President Roth. “We are pleased to recognize his service and his example as a true Rotarian.”
