PHOTOS: Food Festival at St. James Church
Spend some time learning about Middle Eastern culture through food, a tour of the orthodox church, checking out merchants and even smoking a hookah.
Mouthwatering food greeted hungry diners on Friday night at the sixth annual at St. James Orthodox Church.
Church members volunteered preparing the food while people from all cultures came to try a sampling of the ware. Gyro meat cooked by fire on a vertical spit, kebabs grilled over open flames were popular. Veggie plates and desserts are also offered.
The festival ends on Sunday at 8 p.m., so come before then and enter in a raffle for a 2011 Toyota Camry LE. All proceeds benefit the church.
