Plainclothes Police Break Up Drug Deal

One guy got away; officers are still looking for him.

Milpitas police reported Thursday that they're searching for a suspect in a drug deal two plainclothes officers tried to bust last week.

The deal was going down at Jacklin Road and North Park Victoria Drive around 1:30 p.m. on May 30. Police tried to arrest both men, but the suspected seller fled.

Officers did detain Tito Paragas, a 36-year-old Sunnyvale man, and jailed him on suspicion of being high on drugs and possessing both methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Police chased the second man into a nearby neighborhood and searched for him for 90 minutes, but were unsuccessful in locating the man. He is described as Latino man about 40-45 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 190-200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information about the man's identity or whereabouts to call (408) 586-2400 or the Crime Tip Hotline at (408) 586-2500.
