Pre-registration and $65 Non-Refundable Deposit Required. Range fees are included. Ammunition is not included or provided by Shooting Made Fun. Bring your own handgun, ammunition, hearing & eye protection ; Or rent a handgun and buy ammunition from range facility. Remaining balance, including promotions, will be invoiced and is due on or before first day of class.

Description: This course is 8-hours and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students can be 13 years of age and older and require a parent or guardian to enroll with the minor. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate. 

Handgun Safety Certificate: If you plan to purchase a handgun in the future you need to have a DOJ Handgun Safety Certificate. We will provide HSC test and end of course. Please download and review the HSC Study Guide if you will be taking the exam.
