Ryan's interview on YouTube http://youtu.be/9iah9A-_-l0
Ryan is currently going through more chemotherapy to help prolong his life while he desperately need a marrow transplant. Once a survivor through cord-blood transplant, Ryan was cancer free for 1 year. Unfortunately, Ryan cancer had relapse and chemo-therapy doesn't seem to be as effective this time around. As presented in this video, Ryan and his family are fighting emotionally and financially to save his life. The only way to save Ryan is to find a MARROW match which can only be determined through a simple cheek swab kit provided by AADP (the Asian American Donor Program aadp.org).

Many people have fear and question the donating procedure. Some may ask: "oh, are you drawing blood from me? Because I was told I can't donate blood" OR "am I being asked to donate an organ?". The answer to both questions is: NO. The donation process is very simple, safe, and painless. Thanks to technology, 75% of the donation process is now perform through PBSC, which is Peripheral Blood Stem Cell donation process - A nonsurgical and painless procedure to collect blood-forming cells for bone marrow transplants. Only 25% of the bone marrow extraction process is done safely from the donor HIP bone were the donor will be put under general anesthesia. The process tkes roughly 1 hour and the donor is able to go home within the same day.

The important message here is YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE. You are not ask to donate any organs or lose any part of your body. Like blood in your body, bone marrow will be generated by your body within a 24 hour period. If you are Filipino and between the ages of 18-44 and willing to donate PLEASE take action and REGISTER TODAY.
