"Rise Up Against Mental Health Stigma" Panel Presentation

The San Jose East/Evergreen Rotary Club and the Momentum For Mental Health agency invite you to attend the "Rise

Up Against Stigma" presentation.  This panel brings together mental health clients, family

members, and health providers who share their personal stories and answer questions from the community.

Research

literature shows that actually meeting a person with mental illness is the most

effective way to educate and reduce stigma.  We want to give an opportunity for interested community members to learn from the experiences of the mentally ill.  Let's examine the perceptions, challenges and realities of mental illness in this unique gathering.  Light refreshments will be served.
