Dozens of girls packed the front of Milpitas City Hall to mark the century birthday of Girl Scouts USA.
The girls — ages 5 to 18 — celebrated with balloons, cupcakes and the singing of Girl Scout songs.
Christina Chaput, 32, was there with the 20 girls in her troop. They made four posters for the occasion, she said.
Girl Scouts "is a really good opportunity for girls to branch out," Chaput said.
