Last Chance: Google's Student Veteran Summit

Taking up the mantle to help veterans find jobs, Google is offer an all-expense paid Summit to help former soldiers with job development in the high tech community.

If you are a veteran and live in Milpitas, this opportunity is right across Highway 237. 

Google hopes to celebrate and increase the diversity in its worplace, and offer veterans of the United States Armed Forces the opportunity to refine, build, and practice these skills at the Internet giant's headquarters.

The company will accept up to 20 veterans to attend an all-expense paid summit on July 16th and 17th that will expose Vets to "a professional development curriculum geared towards your transition into the workplace," according to a Google press release.

To be considered the Vet must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a 4-year BA/BS program, in any major, at a university in the United States OR matriculate into a United States MBA Program in the Fall of 2012.
  • Must have served in one of the following United States Military Services: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or Navy.
  • Demonstrate academic excellence in a business-related discipline and interest in technology.
