Annie Was Right

The work of building bridges in our federal government leadership begins today.

To my conservative friends,

You may have noticed that the sun did, indeed, come up this morning and probably will tomorrow.

Traffic is still crappy and The Giants are still world champs.

If fact, I'm pretty sure that Rush will still be Rush, O'Reilly will still be O'Reilly and Fox News will still keep doing whatever is is Fox News does.

Bottom line is, America is still breathing. I just hope that it's listening.

Governor Mitt Romney summed it up best by saying that we can't go on this way, that the partisanship that has crippled our government has to end.

Yesterday we all proved that we can still get out and vote.

It is today that our work really begins. Take a moment to contact the powers that be and tell them that we want to move forward. Where have I heard that before?

Tell them that treading water never got anybody anywhere. So, whether your guys have Congress or The White House, tell them that it's time. Because the good news is, it's never too late. Although, the bad is new is ... it's getting pretty late.

Oh, and one more thing, Mitt and Barack, lay off the texting for a while. I miss the days when the only texts I received were Yankee scores and "pick up some milk."

At least that's what I think.

Some of our local citizens clearly don't believe in elections. They were demonstrating in from of the LG Post Office this morning with large signs demanding impeachment of the POTUS. They just failed in firing the POTUS. Seems they lack an understanding of the operation of democracy. I had a moment of hope this morning about the direction of our politics, and that was shattered by that little display at the P.O. Brian
