Earlier this month we had our Homecoming Week. Our football team won against Los Gatos, and we crowned our King and Queen, David Garcia and Cindy Ho. There was a float parade before the Varsity game and it was great to see our "Hero Homecoming" theme shown.

Halloween is this Monday and, as usual, the MHS campus is buzzing with excitement. The annual Halloween Costume Contest will be this Monday at the MHS Theatre during lunch. We have a lot of different categories: Scariest, Group Costumes, Cutest... it's always alot of fun! Most of the student body dresses up for Halloween!

Another important event that is coming up is the yearly Jack Emery Drive. The Jack Emery drive is our yearly competition with all the schools to collect the most cans for the Milpitas Food Pantry. MHS hosts a brunch for the rest of the schools in the to tell them about what Jack Emery is all about. It's always great to have the elementary schools come by the high school and see MHS! This year, it's Nov. 7th at the MHS Libarary at 10 a.m.

This year we have something really special from the Theatre Department! It will be the first musical that's ever taken place at MHS. Students will be performing, the musical, "The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee." Showdates are from Nov. 17th-19th.

We will be posting more soon!

See ya soon,
