Milpitas Death Notices: Beloved Cook, Cancer Survivor, Teacher

We remember the following people with ties to Milpitas who are recently deceased.





Josie FlaneryFlanery died on July 4 at the age of 88. She is survived by her loving family, including seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, whom she loved to cook for. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Flanery's favorite group at Christ Community Church of Milpitas, the Wise Ones.

Jeaneen Marjean FrenchA graduate of Milpitas High School, French later moved to Southern California and graduated from UC Northridge. She was a 10-year cancer survivor. She died on July 14 at the age of 44.

Referendo Garganta RimandoRimando died at age 82 at home in Milpitas surrounded by his family on July 14. Rimando was a teacher in his native Philippines; after immigration to the United States in 1978 with his family, he became a maintenance worker with the California Highway Patrol in San Jose. He worked there for 26 years.
