At 9:30 a.m., join Greg Armendariz, city of Milpitas Public Works Director, at the historic Alviso Adobe on Piedmont Road for an informational talk.
At 10 a.m., meet at the Silva apricot ranch at 891 Piedmont Road where owner Kelly Silva will demonstrate how apricots are cut and processed at the last working apricot farm in town.
At 10:30 a.m., Joanne Sousa, will lead a walking tour of St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 651 Old Piedmont Road. Established in 1902, originally the parish cemetery for St. John the Baptist church in Milpitas, it is the resting place of many pioneer Milpitas families.
At noon, bring a picnic lunch to Big Dog Vineyards. Sample the wines and enjoy the view from the foothills.
