Police Searching for 11-Year-Old Girl Abducted at Gunpoint this Morning

Eleven-year-old Taylor Vo was kidnapped by gunpoint early Friday morning from a home in San Jose. Police believe she was taken by 42-year-old Tri Truong Le.

An Amber Alert has been issued this morning for an 11-year-old girl abducted in San Jose, and her captor has been identified as 42-year-old Tri Truong Le, according to police.

Taylor Vo was abducted from a home in the 2600 block of Taffy Drive in San Jose at 1:18 a.m. Police said Le forced his way into the residence and assaulted a family member, then went into Taylor's bedroom and took her from the home at gunpoint.

Le fled with Taylor in a late model, dark-colored minivan, which was described by witnesses as possibly "American made," according to police.

Le was known to Taylor's family, although police were not immediately releasing his connection to them.

Police have released pictures of both Le and Taylor. Le is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black jacket and blue jeans, police said. Taylor is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 105 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair with blonde highlights.
