Public intoxication tops the list of arrests made by Milpitas police, followed by a false bomb threat and three cases of verbal/written threats.

Tuesday, Jan.11

  • Prowling. A 26-year-old parolee from Santa Clara was arrested on suspicion of prowling and possessing a butterfly knife with a blade 2 or more inches long. 2:38 a.m. Montague Expressway and Sinclair Frontage Road.

  • Possession of marijuana for sale. A 25-year-old San Jose felon was arrested on suspicion of having pot for sale and for being under the influence of a controlled substance. South Gadsden Drive and East Calaveras Road. 1:06 p.m.
  • Possession of drugs for sale. A 20-year-old San Jose woman was arrested on previous charges—being under the influence of a controlled substance and dealing in the sale or receipt of scrap metal that came from public property. She was with a 29-year-old felon from Tracy. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale (not narcotics) and being under the influence of a controlled substance. South Abbott Avenue and West Calaveras Boulevard. 4:57 a.m. 
  • Entering a building with the intent to steal. A 29-year-old Milpitas felon was arrested at the McCarthy Ranch Shopping Center at 2:34 a.m.
  • Driving under the influence. A 30-year-old San Francisco woman was arrested at 1:15 a.m. East Calaveras Boulevard and North Park Victoria Drive.

Saturday, Jan. 8

  • Threat. A 51-year-old Milpitas felon was arrested on suspicion of making verbal or written threats. North Milpitas and Washington. 7:55 p.m. 
  • Public intoxication. A 19-year-old Milpitas man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public. East Calaveras Boulevard and North Park Victoria. 1:26 a.m.
  • Public intoxication. A 18-year-old Milpitas man was arrested in or near Cardoza Park on suspicion of being drunk in public. 1:26 a.m.
  • Public intoxication. A 18-year-old Milpitas man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, delaying or obstructing an officer and violating parole. 1:21 a.m. Fanyon Street and Kennedy Drive.

  • Commercial burglary. A 19-year-old felon from San Jose was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary. He also had an outstanding warrant on previous charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. 8:43 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 6

  • A 26-year-old San Jose felon was arrested near South Abel Street and Junipero Drive. 1:39 a.m.
  • Bomb threat. A Milpitas resident was arrested at 1:03 a.m. on suspicion of making a false bomb threat. Heath Street and Marylynn Drive.

Wednesday, Jan. 5

  • Driving with a suspended license. A 23-year-old Sacramento resident was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspending license, failure to provide proof of ownership of the vehicle and a previous charge of reckless driving. 6:11 a.m. South Abbott Ave and West Calaveras Boulevard.

Tuesday, Jan. 4

  • Outstanding warrant. A 37-year-old Milpitas man was arrested on suspicion of providing a false identity to an officer. He also had an outstanding warrant for previous charges of altering markings on a toy handgun to make it appear real, and possession of a controlled substance (not narcotics) without a legal prescription. Dempsey Road and East Calaveras Boulevard. 1:33 p.m.
  • Public intoxication. A 21-year-old San Jose resident was arrested at 1:15 p.m. on suspicion of being drunk in public. Edsel and Shirley drives.
  • Driving with a suspended license. A 24-year-old Oakland felon out on parole was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Yosemite and Falcato Drives.
  • Public intoxication. A 20-year-old Milpitas man was arrested at 2:45 a.m. on suspicion of being drunk in public. Rodrigues Avenue and Perry Street.
  • Offensive words. A 37-year-old Milpitas man was arrested on suspicion of using offensive words with the intent to provoke a violent reaction. In or near the Galaxy Cocktail Lounge and Bar. 1:55 a.m.

Monday, Jan. 3

  • Possession of meth. A 22-year-old San Jose woman was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of meth, a meth pipe, tear gas, as well as being under the influence of a controlled substance. South Main Street and Montague Expressway. 11:04 p.m.
  • A 35-year-old San Jose man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a woman multiple times. The woman was found outside the Days Inn and was transported to the hospital where she is expected to survive.
  • Public intoxication. A 42-year-old Milpitas man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public. Carl and Lynn avenues. 4:41 a.m.
