Residential Burglary Suspects Arrested

After a home on Erie Circle was burglarized on Oct. 29, a phone call from a citizen led police to three suspects, found with the stolen property.

, a phone call from a concerned resident has led the police to apprehend suspects in connection with a local burglary.

On Sunday, Oct. 30, at around 11:30 a.m., Milpitas Police responded to a call from a 39-year-old resident of Erie Circle. The man reported his home had been burglarized sometime between 5 and 11 p.m. the night before. A laptop computer was stolen.

The next night, Monday, Oct. 31, around 11:22 p.m., police received a call from a concerned citizen, complaining about a suspicious vehicle parked on Sark Court. Officers responded, and found four suspects in the vehicle described by the caller.

Upon search of the vehicle, Officer Eric Emmanuele found a laptop computer matching the description of the one stolen from the man's home on Erie Court two nights before.

The laptop was kept for further investigation, and the suspects were released.

The next day, Tuesday, Nov. 1, officers followed up with the victim of the Erie Court burglary, who confirmed the laptop Officer Emmanuele found in the suspicious vehicle was the one stolen from him.

Officers then arrested three male Milpitas residents for burglary. Their ages are 18, 16 and 15.
