Car Thieves Caught After Onlooker's Call

Five were arrested for attempted vehicle theft.

Milpitas Police responded after someone called to report seeing the suspects trying to enter the Acura parked on the 1600 block of E. Calaveras Boulevard. The caller said the suspects never got into the vehicle but took off in a blue Honda Civic with others inside.

Police responded and found the suspects had damaged the door lock on the Acura. They searched for the suspects and found the blue Civic about 1:53 a.m. around Landess Avenue and Morrill Avenue.
