CORRECTION: Location of Saturday Night Landfill Fire
The fire occurred at the Zanker Road Landfill.
Sunday's story about the landfill fire in Milpitas contains an incorrect location for where the blaze occurred.
A San Jose fire official initially said the fire burned at the BFI Newby Island landfill in Milpitas, but fire Capt. Mary Gutierrez said today it actually occurred at the Zanker Road Landfill in San Jose.
