Milpitas Worker Stole $30K in Electronics

Worker returned in off-hours to steal stuff.

Milpitas Police arrested a San Jose man for stealing about $31,000 in electronics from his employer on Centre Pointe Drive.

Ryan Glenn Agas Ganiban, 30, of San Jose, was arrested May 1 after police investigated reports of burglary at a business on the 1600 block of Centre Point Drive.

The victim reported that someone pryed open at locked door behind the business between March 30 and April 2, according to police reports. The victim did not realize the electronics were gone until April 16.

Police investigated the case and identified Ganiban, an employee at the business, as a suspect. Over eight months, Ganiban stole numerous things during work and returned after work to take more, according to police reports. About $31,000 worth of equipment was stolen. Detectives recovered about $22,000 of stolen goods from Ganiban.

Ganiban was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on May 1 on three counts of burglary and embezzlement.
