Ericson Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder

Milpitas resident enters plea after March 11 shooting at Walmart parking lot in San Leandro.

Eric Ericson, 47, pleaded not guilty to attempted murder at the Hayward Hall of Justice on Friday, according to the Alameda County District Attorney's office.

The Milpitas resident is being held without bail at the Santa Rita Jail after a at a San Leandro Walmart parking lot. The victim survived a gunshot wound to the neck.

His attorney, Nick Cvietkovich, could not be reached for comment. An assistant DA has not been assigned to the case as of Monday morning.

arrested Ericson at his home on March 12, but detectives with the San Leandro Police Department are investigating the case.

A pre-trial hearing has been set for May 11 at 9 a.m. in Hayward.
