The Kohl's department store and some adjacent stores at the Great Mall in Milpitas were evacuated this afternoon after a bomb threat at the shopping center, police said.
Milpitas police first learned of the threat at 2:28 p.m. when a Kohl's employee reported that a bomb threat had been written on the wall of the men's restroom.
Police evacuated the building and walked through the business but did not find anything suspicious.
Bomb-sniffing dogs from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are being now used to search the building.
The stores adjacent to the Kohl's remain closed and are expected to reopen at about 8 p.m. tonight.
