Gunpoint Robberies & Residential Burglaries This Week in Milpitas

This past week in Milpitas, there were two robberies, one attempted, that involved handguns and multiple residential burglaries. 

According to CrimeReports.com, which the Milpitas Police Department uses to update crime information, here's a look at crime reported in Milpitas between Friday, April 5 and Thursday, April 11:

Four Residential Burglaries Reported

Sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 5, someone broke into a home in the 800 block of Platt Court. 

Two homes in central Milpitas were broken into, both day-time burglaries between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Both were day-time burglaries sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The first occurred April 8 in a home in the 500 block of Los Pinos Avenue. The second was in the 700 block of Los Positos Drive April 9.

Sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 11, someone broke into a home in the 1400 block of Fallen Leaf Drive. 

Two Gunpoint Robberies Reported

The first was reported around 6:05 p.m. April 5 at 301 Ranch Drive near Walmart, when a suspect struck a woman in the head with a handgun while he struggled to grab her purse. Read more here. 

The second was reported at 6:09 p.m. April 7 at the Great Mall. A suspect displayed a handgun and robbed a shopper. Read more here.
