Man Arrested After Mooning Motorists in Fremont

The 30-year-old suspect later splashed toilet bowl water while booked at Fremont Jail.

Motorists driving on Mowry Avenue Wednesday evening didn’t have to look to the sky to see a full moon.

According to Fremont police, authorities received multiple reports of a man “mooning” passing vehicles and shouting while standing in the center median of Mowry Avenue near Peralta Boulevard.

Officers responded to the area at about 6:55 p.m. and located a 30-year-old man, who claimed to be visiting from San Francisco. Officers determined him to be drunk and arrested him on suspicion of public intoxication. He was transported to Fremont Jail.

But the suspect’s shenanigans didn’t stop there.

Officers had to respond to the suspect in the middle of the night because he was splashing toilet bowl water, police said. The suspect calmed down and was released the following morning.
