Milpitas Man Gets 16 Years In Meth Bust

Feds caught suspect in San Jose sting.

A Milpitas man has been sentenced to more than 16 years in prison for his role in a methamphetamine deal that was busted by federal narcotics agents.

Luis Angel Dimas, a Mexican national, was arrested in 2009 after allegedly supplying four pounds of methamphetamine for a drug deal in San Jose that was under surveillance by the Drug Enforcement Agency, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Dimas allegedly attempted to flee the scene after he discovered the drug deal was a sting, but was quickly tracked down by drug agents, officials said.
