Milpitas Police Nab Residential Burglary Suspect

The suspect fled from police but was arrested Sunday.

A 20-year-old suspected residential burglar was arrested Sunday afternoon after he fled from police. 

At 2:10 p.m. Sunday, April 7, Milpitas Police were called to Calero Street near N. Abel Street, after a resident reported seeing a suspicious person jumping the fence into the backyard of a home nearby. 

When officers arrived, they set up a perimeter around the home. The suspect fled, attempted to jump over a fence of the home, but officers were able to stop and arrest him on nearby Berryessa Street.

The suspect, Floyd Packer of Milpitas, was found in possession of stolen property taken from a home. He was booked into jail for residential burglary, possession of stolen property, prowling, and resisting arrest, according to Milpitas Police.
