Police Arrest 2 Teens Suspected of Attempted Burglary

The duo allegedly tried to break into a house on Washington Drive in Milpitas.

Two 16-year-olds from Newark were arrested for allegedly attempting to burglarize a home in the 100 block of Washington Boulevard in Milpitas March 15.

About 12:08 p.m. March 15, officers responded and arrested two teenagers, one male and one female. The female suspect reportedly knocked on the resident's front door and when no one answered, the male suspect attempted to open a side gate leading to the backyard, according to Milpitas Police.

The victim yelled and the suspects fled.

Milpitas Police located the suspects and arrested them. Both were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for conspiracy to commit a crime, prowling and providing false identification to a police officer. The male suspect was also charged with probation violation.
