Police Arrest Prowling Teens

High schoolers skipping class were caught trying door, peeking in window of home.

Two teenagers were arrested for prowling after a resident reported them trying to open his front door and look in a window of his home.

Police were called to the 1800 block of Edsel Drive about 12:22 p.m. on Monday when a Milpitas resident reported two teenagers walked up to his front door while a third remained on the sidewalk, according to police reports. The two teens checked if the door was locked and looked in the door's window before they noticed the resident watching them. The two immediately rejoined the third teen and walked away, according to reports.

The resident watched the teens leave and gave their updated locations to emergency dispatchers, according to reports. Milpitas Police responded and found the teens several blocks away from the resident's home. Milpitas High School confirmed that the three were students there and were truant that day, according to reports.
