Police Canine Helps Flush Burglar Out of Milpitas Home

Alert neighbor heard shattering glass at a nearby home and notified police.

After hearing glass being shattered at a neighboring home around 8 a.m. Aug. 29 a Daniel Court resident called police to report the incident. The caller said the glass appeared be from a rear patio window.

Responding officers determined there was a burglary-in-progress and surrounded the house, believing a suspect was inside. After making several announcements with no response, a police dog was sent into the house. The dog cleared the home’s interior with the exception of a bedroom door which was barricaded.
