San Jose Police Investigate Fourth Homicide

Officers respond to a report of stabbing in San Jose's 3400 block of Suncrest Avenue around 1:25 a.m., Sgt. Heather Randol said.

San Jose police are investigating a homicide near the city's Piedmont Hills neighborhood this morning, a police sergeant said.

Officers responded to a report of stabbing in the city's 3400 block of Suncrest Avenue around 1:25 a.m., Sgt. Heather Randol said.

Police found a man suffering from at least one stab wound, she said.

He was transported and pronounced dead shortly after 2 a.m., according to Randol.

The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of his next of kin, Randol said.

No suspects have been identified and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder, she said.

No further information on the homicide was available.

This is the city's fourth homicide of 2014, according to police.
